Legend of Lamar

Once upon a time…Lamar decided to take a hike…He parked his car and put on his… Raincoat… (Seasonal Clothing Item)…

Pretty soon he entered the tunnel,  where he almost tripped over a…Coffee Pot…(Kitchen Appliance)…

So he pulled out his trusty…Radio…(Battery Operated Device)… and continued without any further incident.

Soon he was deep in the leafy woods… where he heard a Mooing…(Noise made by a barnyard animal)…

He paused to listen as a Horse…(Different Barnyard animal)… came into view…

It reminded him of Goldie Hawn…(Favorite Movie actress)… About whom he started to fantasize…

While he enjoyed the view along the Hannah Mountain Trail…(Favorite trail)…

Which was strange since he was actually hiking along the Cold Spring Gap Trail… (Least Favorite trail)…

Suddenly as he rounded the switchback…he came upon a group of Boy Scouts…(National Organization)…

They had lost their Treking pole… (Item of Hiking Gear)…and didn’t know what to do…

Lamar, ever the hero…pulled out his trusty…Car…(Hiking Luxury item)… and saved the day…

Due to this heroic feat, he arrived in camp rather late…Still needing to…wash the dishes….(Household Chore)…

When he opened his pack, he realized he forgot his cooking Pot…(Item of Cook Gear)…

So he improvised by using his  shirt…(Clothing item)…It didn’t turn out well…

After setting up camp, he secured his  daypack…(1st item of gear purchased)…

Stretched out on his…New shirt.. (Last item of gear purchased)… And tried to sleep…

However a Hurricane …(Weather event)…   kept him awake most of the night…

The morning finally arrived and he cooked himself a refreshing breakfast of Fried Chicken… (Favorite food)… and was ready to go…

No sooner had he started than he had to cross the Atlantic Ocean…(Large body of water)…several times…

Luckily he had his football uniform… (Item of Sporting Equipment)… and the only thing that got wet was his legs (Body Part)…

Lamar’s future plans…do not include bagging all the 6,000 ft peaks nor hiking all the off trail manways…

However he has expressed a desire to enjoy short wine… (Favorite Alcoholic Beverage)…filled backpacks…

With fun folks like Marti, Terri & Pat…(Name those present) !
